This Privacy Policy describes how AVR LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit Who’s In Space at https://whosinspace.com.

Who we are

Who’s In Space is owned and operated by AVR LLC. This policy applies only to this website.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information through this site.

No first-party analytics. We do not run Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, or similar visitor-tracking scripts on this site.
No accounts or forms that submit personal information to us.
ISS, crew, asteroid, and Starlink data are fetched on our servers from public APIs and cached for display. Those upstream requests are made by our servers, not by your browser (except as noted below for embeds and images).

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Like most hosts, Cloudflare may automatically process standard request data such as IP address, user-agent, request URL, and timestamps for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We do not use that data to build marketing profiles of visitors. See also Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

We do not set first-party cookies for advertising or analytics. The site does not use localStorage or sessionStorage for visitor tracking.

YouTube embed: The ISS live view uses a privacy-enhanced YouTube embed (youtube-nocookie.com). When that player loads, Google/YouTube may set cookies or collect device and viewing data under their policies. See Google’s privacy policy.

Images loaded in your browser: Near-real-time Earth and Sun stills are loaded as ordinary images from NOAA (cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov) and NASA SDO (sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov). Those providers may see your IP address and user-agent.

Scripts and fonts: The page may load three.js and satellite.js from jsDelivr, and fonts from Google Fonts. Those CDNs may see your IP address and browser details.

Outbound links (for example Science with POPS, NASA, NOAA) are ordinary links; following them is governed by those sites’ own policies.

Advertising and cookies

We may display ads from third-party vendors, including Google, through Google AdSense or similar services. This section describes how those ads work when they are shown on this site. Ads are not live yet; when they are, the practices below apply.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and/or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
